The NASDAQ Stock Market (NASDAQ)

The NASDAQ Stock Market (NASDAQ) is an automatic execution venue powered by INET technology. The exchange trades more US equities than any other US exchange.

NASDAQ adheres to a price/time priority model; displayed limit orders are executed in the order in which they are received at the same price, while non-displayed shares are executed after displayed shares on a price/time priority basis.

NASDAQ typically provides a rebate to market participants adding liquidity and charges a fee for orders that remove liquidity. Trades are reported to the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC), a division of the Depository Trust Clearing Corporation (DTCC), for clearing.
