Trade mainland shares via the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect program
Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect is a new program that allows investors in Hong Kong and Mainland China to trade securities in each other's markets. This program allows Hong Kong investors and international investors to trade Chinese securities on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and allows qualified investors in Mainland China to trade Hong Kong securities. Under this new program, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (SEHK) and the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) have established mutual order-routing connectivity and technical infrastructure to allow investors of their respective market to trade designated equity securities listed in the other’s market. Trades in both directions will settle in renminbi. |

IB outperforms the industry in stock and option execution quality and percentage of profitable forex accounts
IB executions continue to outperform the industry. Based on independent measurements, the Transaction Auditing Group, Inc. (TAG), a third-party provider of transaction analysis, has determined that during the first half of 2014: - Interactive Brokers' US stock executions (for all market orders of 100 shares or more up to 10,000 shares) showed price improvement of 14 cents per 100 shares better than the industry as a whole.1
- Interactive Brokers' US option executions (included all market orders for all order sizes and exchange rebates received by customers under IB's cost-plus pricing structure) showed price improvement of 17 cents per contract better than the industry as a whole.1
IB was also ranked top broker in terms of execution performance. Take a look at our multi-broker TAG scorecard that compares IB price execution with five leading brokers. Additionally, Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: IBKR) has once again been ranked as the leading forex broker by percentage of profitable customer forex accounts, according to a composite Forex Broker Comparison produced by the website Forex Magnates. The comparison comprises data from six of the largest forex broker performance reports as submitted individually to the regulator, the National Futures Association (NFA), for the third quarter of 2014. There is a substantial risk of loss in foreign exchange trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. - The TAG analysis for US stocks included all market orders of 100 shares or more up to 10,000 shares. The analysis for US options included all market order sizes in US options and includes exchange rebates received by customers under IB's cost-plus pricing structure. The TAG analysis of orders routed to exchanges in Europe included all orders routed for execution during regular trading hours including all market and marketable limit orders and orders near the market (orders having a limit price within one-tenth of a Euro from the quote price at time of order receipt) on stocks listed on the included exchanges, weighted by the volume executed on each exchange. The exchanges for European stocks are XETRA, EURONEXT, CHI-X, WIENER BORSE, TURQUOISE, LONDON and NASDAQ OMX.
