IB rated #1 Online Broker by Barron's for the fourth year in a row
Interactive Brokers was awarded top honors in Barron's 20th annual ranking of the Best Online Brokers, securing the #1 spot for the fourth year in a row. In addition to taking the top spot overall, IB was named "Best for Frequent Traders," "Best for International Traders" and "Best for Options Traders" in this year's review. "Low costs are a key component of trading," wrote Barron's columnist and operator of the Best Online Brokers annual ranking, Theresa W. IB outperforms the industry in stock and option execution quality and percentage of profitable forex accounts
IB executions continue to outperform the industry. Based on independent measurements, the Transaction Auditing Group, Inc. (TAG), a third-party provider of transaction analysis, has determined that during the second half of 2014: - Interactive Brokers' US stock executions (for all market orders of 100 shares or more up to 10,000 shares) showed price improvement of 8 cents per 100 shares better than the industry as a whole.1
- Interactive Brokers' US option executions (included all market orders for all order sizes and exchange rebates received by customers under IB's cost-plus pricing structure) showed price improvement of 50 cents per contract better than the industry as a whole.1
